About HAZE
Our Story
We formed HAZE back in 2020, with the goal of creating music that would inspire and uplift people.
Since then we have honed in on Reggae, Rock, Funk , Soul and Latin classics with a few Haze originals thrown in.
Haze is made up of 7 members, All of whom, have years of experience in the world of music.
What makes Haze different?
We certainly take our music seriously but when it comes to our performances, we are a little different. We like to create a show that will leave our audience wanting to see more. From start to finish, Haze try to engage the crowd and create an intimate evening to remember. Every show is different and our gigs are full of fantastic memories, laughter and great music.
Congas, Bongos, Keyboards, Saxophone, Drums, Bass, Guitars …….Haze is an experience not to be missed.
We don’t want to give too much away…….so let’s just say……Expect a show of absolute classics that will get your guests singing and dancing, with a few surprises along the way!…….oh….we love to wear Hawaiian shirts to at least pretend it’s summer! Why not get your guests to do the same!!!!.
Our Influences
We draw inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including reggae, rock, soul and funk. Our wide ranging backgrounds (English, Welsh, Scottish) brings an eclectic influence to our music. Our covers are chosen very carefully to fit into our gigging sets. Think Marley, Luther Vandross, Black Crowes, Buena Vista Social Club, Foo Fighters, Barry White, Winehouse & Ian Dury (!). Everything played with a smile and a groove. We love seeing our audience dance.

THE BAND
DAN CLARKE - VOCALS
Dan - our lead vocalist brings his love of reggae and groove to the band. He flies for the Worlds Favourite Airline and is an avid Surfer. He brings so much energy to the front of the band and always gets the crowd singing along. His unique vocals really do define what Haze are all about as a band.
ARTIST INFLUENCES - BOB MARLEY, EDDIE VEDDER, OTIS REDDING
JEM CHIARI - KEYBOARDS
JEM - brings pro level keys to the band and has played in various local and national bands. He lives in the Hampshire countryside where he also plays funky church organ. He also offers some great vocals! Watch out for the humour…..Its not unusual for Jem to throw some curveball songs into the set that we’ve never played just to get the audience going

WILL DAVIES - GUITARS
WILL - Our Welsh guitar wizard brings amazing talent and energy to the band. He can play any style with ease and brings his own flavoured licks to the songs. Will has played all over the world, with Fire Foxes including the Viper Room in LA with Mr. Depp in the room. Based in the countryside Wills pro recording studio is home to the band. MIKE BLATCHFORD - SAX, TRUMPET & PERCUSSION
MIKE - The bands sexiest member has travelled world wide with other bands including Spain, Russia, Japan and Germany. He brings a unique combination of soaring sax and funky cool percussion. You never quite know what instrument Mike will pull out of his ’Instrument Bag’. His Sax on some of the songs are really stand out moments in our sets

KEN VEITCH - BASS
KEN - On Bass bring his love of Jazz Funk to his bass lines. Locking in with OZ (who also loves Jazz Funk) gives you the idea of the rhythm section. Bringing some swing and bass fills is an important part of his work. He works in the City and lives in the countryside. He has played in many festival bands over the years and is also a guitarist.

MARK OZMEN (OZ) - DRUMS
OZ - Drums are so vital to our music ,as it is all about the Groove for our band. Oz can play any style with massive skill sets. We are never off the beat. Oz had a very special career (think 007) but is now bringing his skills to Haze. Such an important member of the band.

BEN FISHER - GUITARS
Ben - Is the youngest member of our band and is hugely talented. Fits into his role perfectly with bags of enthusiasm and loads of talent. He has great reliability on rhythm and has some secret solos in his pocket. Ben loves to play soul, funk, reggae and some cool rock.
